Johnny Levan (Van) Oliver, 64, of Kannapolis passed away on September 19, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. He was born July 22, 1957 in Davie County, a son of the late Jim and Katherine Oliver.
Van worked at Fiber Industries for 41 years. After, they closed, he began working at NAPA in Salisbury. Van was a motorcycle enthusiast. He loved riding, building and working on them. He also was a gun and tattoo enthusiast.
Van is survived by his wife, Tamara Oliver, daughter, Samantha Oliver, daughter, Tiffany Safrit, son, Johnny Dylan Oliver and his fiancé, Laura, grandchildren, Madison and Natalee Hodges, Finley and Dalton Safrit, sister, Terry Todd (Doug), brother, Jimmy Oliver (Susan) and half-brother, Robert Spry (Elaine).
There will be a celebration of Van’s life to be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Annex Chapel from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM with Rev. Jesse Garmon saying a few words starting at 1:00 PM. Friends are invited stay and share stories about Van with his family. The family requests that all who ride, please bring your bikes to the event.
