Johnnie “Patty” Paulette Hamm Hardeman, 75, of Kannapolis, went into her heavenly home on Sunday, May 15, 2022.
Patty was born on January 20, 1947 in Albemarle, NC to the late John Marion Hamm and Marie Parker Hamm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Lowery.
Patty was a faithful Christian and a life-long member of First Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and going to ballgames. Most of all, she dearly loved her family and cherished spending time with them.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 55 years; Grady Hardeman; daughter, Tamara Mariano; son, Grady J. Hardeman and wife, Dana Hardeman; four grandchildren, Brock Mariano and wife, Heather; Cy Mariano, Jordan Hardeman and Lindsey Hardeman, and two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Mariano and Sutton Mariano.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Whitley’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. The funeral service will follow and begin at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Whitley’s Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Wheeler officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Wesleyan Church, 301 Bethpage Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
