John Joseph Reilly Jr.

John J. Reilly Jr., 80, of Concord, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 9, 2022.

John was born in Pittsburg, PA on August 23, 1941 to the late John Joseph Reilly Sr. and Mary Boland Reilly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dianne Freeze Reilly, and a daughter, Andrea Reilly Waters.

John spent his career as a project manager in construction for over 40 years. In his free time, he enjoyed playing baseball and golf. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races.

Those left to cherish his memory include three sons, Jackie Reilly, Patrick (Tiffany) Reilly, Kevin (Melanie) Reilly; six grandchildren, Caitlin (Adam) Broome, Jared Waters, Wynn, Madison (Cody) Shores, Laney Reilly, and Ian Reilly, great-grandchild, Arlie Shores; and a sister, Claire Reilly. He will be dearly missed by his family.

A funeral service honoring John’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Van Wieren III officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park.
