Jody Dianne (Linker) Peters

Salisbury-

     Jody Peters, 47, passed away Thursday morning, November 14, 2019, at Tucker Hospice House, following a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Born July 27, 1972, in Atlanta, GA, she was a daughter of Steven Ray Linker and Deborah Haywood Linker.

Jody’s personality served her well as a customer care manager for Grayson-O Group.  Jody’s life was filled with the love she had for all of her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  She also loved time spent in the mountains.  Gone too soon, Jody will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family members, in addition to her parents, include her devoted husband, Shawn Peters; her children, Terry Christy (Nicole), Harley Robinson Cole (Hunter) and Riki Christy; her step-daughters, Sheena Peters and Shanna Pollard (Will); her grandchildren, Daontay, DaShayna, Dason, Michael, Layla and Josiah; brothers, Robert Tidwell (Cheri), and Henry and Chad Linker; her sisters, Pamela Tidwell and Fonda Spratt; special aunt, Pat Walker (Bruce); and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Sunday, November 17th at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  Services to remember and celebrate Jody’s life will begin at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Pastor Alice Troutman.
