Jerry Wayne Mann

Jerry Wayne Mann, 78, passed away on October 7, 2020 at his home. He was born March 15, 1942 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Bill and Beatrice Bowles Mann.

Jerry retired from the City of Concord where he was a supervisor for the Cemetery Division at West Concord and Oakwood Cemeteries for many years. Jerry was a member of Bright Light Baptist Church where he was a former Sunday School Superintendent and played guitar at church. He loved fishing, hunting and working in his garden.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 9, 2020 at Bright Light Baptist Church, 960 Old Charlotte Rd SW, Concord, NC 28027 officiated by Pastor Ronnie Simpson. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. His family will receive friends at the church prior from 12:30 to 2:00 PM.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda Helms Mann, children, Debbie Purcell, Billy Mann and girlfriend, Cindy, Dale Mann and wife, Rhonda, grandchildren, Phillip Wayne Mann and wife, Christina, Carla Chavis and husband, Jason, Adam Mann and fiancé, Rosanna, Ben Mann and wife, Alicia, Lea Shumaker and fiance Tanner, great grandchildren, Christian Lantzy, Mason Mann, Raelynn Mann, 3 special children we raised since birth, Erin and Josey Stroud, Mason Galyan and special grandchildren, Tristan Hayes and Savannah Sale.
