Jason Mark Deaton, 31, of Kannapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 1, 2020.
Jason was born on November 5, 1988 in Cabarrus County to his parents, Mark Deaton and Sherry Furr, who both survive.
Jason worked as a pipe fitter for Century Fire & Protection. Jason truly enjoyed life. He was known for being a sharp dresser. He loved dogs, listening to music, and admired old cars. He also enjoyed going to the drag strip.
Jason was preceded in death by a grandfather, David Stamper.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Sherry Furr (fiance, Bill Clement), father, Mark (Michell) Deaton; brother, Jonathan Deaton; sisters, Kellie McRorie and Tehya Deaton; grandparents, Jo Upright, Ronald Deaton, Carolyn Stamper Pinyan; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends at Second Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary Scoggins officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
