Obituary

Janet Lee Eades, nee Burton, 89, passed from this physical world on August 30, 2022. She was born on September 28, 1932 in Pleasant Plain OH.   She is survived by Kerrilou Carpenter (nee Eades), daughter, Frankie Edna Eades Keefe, daughter-in-law and Marilyn Gail Bradley (nee Burton), sister.  Her cherished grandchildren:  Krystal Eades, Philip Eades, Laurel Harmon and Kira Harmon.  Great grandchildren:  Alexander Eades, Zachary Cook, McKenzie Eades, Kaden Eades, Layla Eades, James Carpenter and Emmalyn Harmon.  Great great grandchildren:  Hayden Eades, Luke Collier and Riley Collier.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Norma Burton (nee Snowhill), husband, Amos Eades and brother-in-law Robert Bradley, her daughter Baby Janet and sons Philip and Jeffery Eades.  Janet and Amos were married for 65 years.

Mom was the Matriarch of the family, the glue that held us together, hosting all holidays. Christmas was her favorite.  She always had a special gift for each child.  She believed in God and forgiveness, never holding grudges and always believed in the good in people.  She was always giving to others.

She loved her sister, Gail, without fail.  Gail was her closest and most valuable friend.  They vacationed almost every summer with their husbands who were like brothers.  The lake was her favorite place and the houseboat her home away from home.  They were on Lake Norris every weekend until it was too cold.

She worked most of her adult life only taking off short periods to have her four children.  She started as a switchboard operator eventually earning higher positions at E&G Ortec in Oak Ridge from which she retired.
