Jane Alice (Helms) O'Reilly

Jane Alice Helms O’Reilly, 66, passed away Friday afternoon, January 1, 2021, at Tucker Hospice House, following a period of declining health.

Born August 20, 1954, in Concord, she was a daughter of the late James Thomas Helms and Joyce Marlene Cannon Helms.  In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her brother, James Henry Helms,  a sister, Johnnie Marie Gray, and a grandson, Matthew Dylan Goodman.

Jane was a loving and devoted homemaker, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend of many.  She loved all of her family and enjoyed time spent with them.  An avid reader, Mrs. O’Reilly also loved the beach and cooking.  Although in a much better place today, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Loving family members include her husband, Richard O’Reilly; her children, Jennifer Frazee (Ray), Mark McPike, Jr. (Tonya) and Marlena Whalley (Joel); her step-children, Kaitlin, Joel and Dakota O’Reilly; her sister, Frances Wacaster; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and extended family members.   

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
