Jane Ritchie Middleton

Jane Ritchie Middleton, 91 of Kannapolis went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Jane was born October 31, 1931 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. She was a daughter of Martin Leonard Ritchie and Irene Brown Crainshaw Ritchie. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Jack Edward Middleton, Sr. who died September 8, 2018. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jack Edward Middleton, Jr., and brothers, Bill, Wallace, David and Steve Ritchie.

Jane was a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church of Concord. She worked at Dominion Yarn in Landis as a bookkeeper for over 20 years, and church secretary at North Kannapolis Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds and raising a garden.

Family members left to cherish her memory include a son. Rev. Timothy Martin (Tim) Middleton, Sr. and wife Connie of Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter, Wendy Elizabeth Middleton of Kannapolis, two grandchildren, Rev. Timothy Martin (Marty) Middleton, Jr. and wife Amy, Jeremy David Middleton and wife Jordan, eight great-grandchildren Destiny, Alexes, Chloe, Naomi, Sophia, Brooklynn, Maverick and Linkoln Jack. She also has two great great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jazmyn. She is also survived by two sisters-in law, Rosemary Ritchie and Dale Ritchie snd many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Crosspointe Baptist Church, Concord conducted by Rev. Leon Hawks and Rev. Tim Middleton, Sr. The family will receive friends at the church two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, N.C.
