Jacklyn (Nelson) Feeney

Jacklyn Nelson Feeney, of Kannapolis, formerly of Spencerport, NY passed away May 29, 2022. She was born May 16, 1954 in Rochester, NY, a daughter of the late John and Dorothy Randall Nelson.

Jackie had retired as a church secretary at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church where she had worked for over 28 years. Jackie  owned and showed harness racing and show horses. She was an avid NASCAR fan.

A prayer service for Jackie will be held at  7:00 PM Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel. They will greet friends following the service.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Greg Feeney, children, Maxine Jacklyn Feeney, John Theodore Feeney, sisters, Kim Delaney, Mitzy Scharr, Sandy Bleier, brother, Scott Nelson and her beloved little dog, “Riley”.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine Baker Institute for Animal Health, www.vet.cornell.edu/baker, that is dedicated to research and caring for animals including cats, dogs and horses who have been a large part of Jackie’s life or to the charity of one’s choice in Jackie’s name.
