Ina Ruth (Dennis) Deason

Ina Ruth Dennis Deason, 89, of Kannapolis, went into her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

Ina was born on July 18, 1933 in Monroe County, TN to the late Lena Mae Coleman Green. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Loyde Joseph Deason in 2009, and her step-father, Ellard Green.

Ina was a very creative person, and enjoyed making baskets, painting and crocheting. She was a life-long member of Kannapolis Church of Christ, where she loved taking photographs at church events. Most of all, she dearly loved spending time with her family.
 

Those left to cherish her memory include three children, Sandy McNeely, Nelson (Melanie) Deason, Jeff (Kim) Deason; five grandchildren, Kristin (Brandon) Long, Heather (Evan) Brannon, Ryan (fiancé, Brittany) Deason, Cory (Ally) Deason, and Aaron (Payton) Deason; three great-grandchildren, Aidan Deason, Emma Long, and Hattie Deason; an adopted daughter, Anita (Gene) McCants; sisters-in-law, Connie (Ray) Brooks and Shelia Deason, and a number of nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Kannapolis Church of Christ. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Minister Kirk Sams officiating. A committal service will immediately follow at West Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in China Grove.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kannapolis Church of Christ, 2315 Concord Lake Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
