Helen Irene Little Troutman, 84 of Concord, passed away peacefully Christmas morning, 2021 at Five Oaks Manor after a period of declining health.
Born on July 2, 1937 in Cabarrus Co., Helen was a daughter of Odell H. and Ethel Hartsell Little. In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband John B. Troutman, three of her brothers; Ray, Wade and Gene Little and 2 of her sisters;
Phyllis Little and Doris L. Cline.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Debbie Harrington (Randy) of Salisbury and her son, Robert Connell of Concord, her granddaughters; Heather Mohaugen (B.J.) of Harrisburg and Melissa Barlow (Andy) of Concord, her grandson, Cody Connell of Concord, her four great-grandchildren; Maddy and Zoe Foster, Braylee Wallin and Chloe Barlow. Helen is also survived by her sister, Ruby Brawley and her brother, Bucky Little, both of Concord.
A longtime area resident and member of New Life Fellowship in Concord. She graduated from Odell High School and then learned the Upholsterer's trade at VA Technical School in Virginia Beach. Helen moved back to Cabarrus Co. and ran her own shop, Ace Uphostery in Concord until she retired. She loved the Lord and her family and will be dearly missed.
A celebration of her life will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 29th with Rev. Art Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home before the service at other times they will be at 8600 Savannah Rd. in Harrisburg, the hme of Heather and B.J. Mohaugen.
