Heather (McRorie) Roberts

Heather McRorie Roberts, 33, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 2, 2019 at her residence. She had been in declining health for 15 months but her passing was unexpected.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Lewis and Rubie Drye.

Heather was born February 26, 1986 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of Michael and Cathy McRorie of Kannapolis. In addition to her parents she is also survived by her brother Phillip McRorie of Charlotte and her Paternal Grandparents Clarence and Marlene Horton of Kannapolis. She also leaves her furry babies Bella and Penny.

Heather was a graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School and Western Carolina University majoring in entrepreneurship.

She was a cheerleader thruout middle and high school and was a part of the competitive team as well.

Heather had been employed with Wells-Fargo Bank for the last eleven years as a financial crimes supervisor. She loved music, hula hooping, America’s Funniest Videos Show and the World News tonight which she rarely missed.

Heather was funny, loving and caring. She always wanted to help others in need. She was a strong positive and determined young lady and was committed to her work and her work family.

Her nick name was “Hollywood” which was given to her by her father and stuck with her from an early age thru adulthood.

Heather was a generous and loving young lady who will be missed.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor James Kuhl. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. At other times they will be at the residence. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
