Harvey G. Overcash

Harvey G. "Petie" Overcash , 91, passed away at his home Sunday, April 18, 2021, with his family by his side.

Harvey was born July 29, 1929, in Rowan County, a son of the late Bonnell Pate Overcash and Stella Wyatt Overcash. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Overcash and his son Timothy Overcash, his brothers Grady Overcash and Cecil Overcash.

He is survived by his son, Steve Overcash and wife, Joann, of Concord, daughter Becky Margolis of Concord; brother Claude Overcash and wife, Trula, of Florida; four grandchildren, Kandi Overcash, of Concord, Zachary Hurley, of Charlotte, Matt Overcash, of China Grove and Chad Overcash and wife, Tiffany, of Talbert, TN; and seven great-grandchildren, Dakota and Emma Shaul, Jackson and Miranda Overcash, Austin, Veda, and Harbor and his devoted and loving caregiver, Laura Parks.

Harvey was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church. He was retired from Duff-Norton. His greatest joys in retirement were cutting his grass, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and finding the Lord.

Funeral service will be a graveside service at 11:00am Thursday, April 22 at Carolina Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Waters officiating.
