Graydene Ross Kidd

Graydene Ross Kidd, 90, of Kannapolis passed away Tuesday May 16, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Kidd was born January 13, 1933, in Cabarrus County, NC, a daughter of the late H.G. (Grady) Ross and the late Hama Castor Ross.  In addition to her parents, Graydene was preceded in death by her husband J. Hoke Kidd; grandson Bryan Kidd and brother, Phife C. Ross.

Graydene graduated from J.W. Cannon High School and Evans Business College.  Graydene went to work in the insurance and banking industries.  She was a member of Cold Water Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed spending time at the beach and fishing.

She is survived by her son Tim and his wife Janice of Concord, NC; sister-in-laws, Hilda E. Ross of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Jeanette H. Kidd of Kannapolis, and Dorothy K. Starnes of Monroe; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday May 19, 2023 from 1:00 – 2:30 Pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 3:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Park with Pastor Emily Lemoine officiating.
