Gladys Ann (Dell) Riggs

Gladys Ann Dell Riggs, 83 years old, of Denver, NC formerly of Ruskin, FL, passed away on January 20, 2022.  Gladys was born on August 28, 1938 in Ruskin, Florida to the late George and Annie Wright Dell.

Gladys worked her entire career in Sales and was a people person.  She was very family orientated and caregiver to family and friends.

She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband Thomas Morris Riggs in 2014 and eleven brothers and sisters.  Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa Nash and her husband Don, Gladys “Diane” Locklear and Anita “Christine” Goodman; her grandchildren, Tonya Schraw and her husband Glendon, Johnny Beach and his wife Tammy, Brandi Baucom and her husband James and Amanda Neely; her eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service celebrating Gladys’ life will be held on Sunday, January 23. 2022 at 11am in the Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC.
