Gary Neal LaTurno

Gary Neal LaTurno, 78, of China Grove passed away November 1, 2021. He was born May 20, 1943 in St. Clair County, Michigan, a son of the late Francis Arthur LaTurno and Ruth Jean Neal LaTurno.

Gary was a machinist all his life. He retired from Rowan Precision Machining in Salisbury. He was a veteran of the US Navy for four years and then the Army National Guard for three years. Gary loved making and flying radio controlled model airplanes. He was a member of the “Yard Birds” club in Enochville.

Gary’s funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Chris Daniel. Burial with military honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM prior at Whitley’s.

Gary is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara LaTurno, sister Judy Brown of Michigan, sons, Mark LaTurno, Chad LaTurno (Ashlyn), grandchildren, Drew, Justin, Jackson, great grandchildren, Johnny, Zoe, Vada, two nieces and two nephews.
