Gale R. Bennett Johnson, 69, of Kannapolis, formerly of Erie PA, died Thursday September 1, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord after a period of declining health. Private services will be held at a later date.

Born October 28, 1952 in Erie PA, Gale was the daughter of Ralph and Margaret Gentile Bennett. In addition to her parents, Gale was preceded in death by her brother Gerald Bennett. She was born and raised in Erie PA. Gale worked for American Sterilizer/ Steris Corp. until she retired on disability. Gale was a member of the Red Hats and the Hog Chapter of Salisbury. Gale loved her grandchildren and her flower garden. She enjoyed watching her hummingbirds. Gale was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Gale is survived by her husband, Bill Reigel, her daughter, Shannon Hefner (Al), her sons, Bill Reigel (Abby) and Jon Reigel all of Erie PA and her daughter Kristin O’Brien (Johnny) of Reno PA. She is also survived by her 13 beloved grandchildren.
