Frances Louise (Sheets) Barnhardt

Frances Louise Sheets Barnhardt, 93, of Kannapolis, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Best of Care Assisted Living.

Frances was born on October 3, 1927 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late William Anderson Sheets and Pearl Weaver Sheets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Y. Barnhardt, and two sisters, Pauline Nichols and Lorene Foster.

Frances retired as a weaver from Cannon Mills Plant #1. She loved spending time outside gardening and growing vegetables. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats and dogs. She also loved watching birds and going to flea markets.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Brenda (Butch) King, grandchildren, Chris (Jamie) King, Todd (Joni) King, Michelle (Rodney) Adams, Suzanne (Chris) Bost; sister, Katherine Smith; great-grandchildren, Jayci (Eaven) Allison,  Shelbie Bost, and Charlee Adams; great-great grandchild, Era Allison, and one on the way due in May.

A private family graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Ln, Kannapolis, NC 28081.

The family would like to thank the staff at Best of Care for their loving care shown to Frances in the past five years.
