Emma Lee (Ewing) Whitley

Emma Lee Ewing Whitley, 85, of Kannapolis passed away on November 16, 2021. She was born August 22, 1936 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Frank and Novella Ewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Whitley in 2011.

Emma had worked at Cannon Mills for many years.  She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. Emma  enjoyed cooking and shopping.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor John Earnhardt. Her family will receive friends prior from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.  at Whitley’s. Burial will be at a later date at the National Cemetery in Salisbury.

Emma is survived by her daughter, Karen Williams, grandchildren, Jason Hardman and Shannon Hardman, great grandchildren, Kayla Hardman, Emily Beam, brother, James Ewing and sister, Mary Lou Jones.
