Dorothy Ann (Dishmon) Stirewalt

Dorothy Ann Dishmon Stirewalt, age 62, of China Grove passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

Her funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 15 at Whitley’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stan Riddle officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. Her family will greet friends briefly before the funeral service in the Chapel lobby, starting at 9:30 AM.

Dorothy was born May 31, 1958 in Jefferson NC, a daughter of the late Earl Franklin Dishman and Mary Virginia Giles Dishman. She moved to this area as an adolescent and attended South Rowan High School. As an adult she worked for Parkdale Mill for 40+ years prior to retiring. Dorothy loved yard-saling and going to the Webb Road Flea Market. She enjoyed reading. Dorothy loved her family and was caregiver for her grandson Timothy. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Allen Howard and her brother Daniel “Danny” Dishman and her beloved pets, “Maggie and Lilly”.

Those remaining to cherish her memories include her 2 sons; Andrew Howard and fiancée, Aletha Gonzalez of China Grove and Garon Howard of Indiana, her sisters, Janice Smith (Carlton Burgess) of Landis, Judy Allen (Kirby) of Mt. Pleasant, Vickie Lambert (Dallas Burke) of Kannapolis and her brother, Tommy Dishman of China Grove and her sister-in-law, Kelly Irvin of Kannapolis. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Timothy, Sammie and Alyssa Howard and Alaia and Max Gonzalez and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
