Donna Eliesa (Taylor) Smith

Donna Eliesa Taylor Smith, 67, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Donna was born January 13, 1956 in Cabarrus County. She was a cherished daughter of the late Charles Lester Taylor Jr., and Wilma Haigler Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Larry Morrison; brothers, Darrell (Diane) and Ricky Taylor; and sister, Michelle Lee.

Donna always had a passion for watching hummingbirds. She loved the beach, palm trees, and flamingos. Her favorite singer has always been Conway Twitty. Most of all, Donna loved her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, including her loving dog, Buddy.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Lori and Travis Smith; grandchildren, Eliesa Anderson, Agustin Leos (Maite Coronado), Catalina Leos, Alejandrina Smith- Jacquez (Josh Houser), Jacqueline Smith- Jacquez, Madison Smith, Erica Smith, Logan Smith; great-grandchildren, Isabella Leos, Desmon Leos, Efren Leos, Melody Leos, Rosalie Leos, Severa Leos, Porter Houser, Emery Houser, Hunter Craig, Conner Craig, Lilly- Rae Anderson, Paxton Tucker, Jenni Jacquez, Vada Jacquez and Sienna Smith; and her sister, Dolores Canaday (Robert).

The family will receive visitors from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel. Internment till follow at West Concord Cemetery.
