Donalene (Hunsucker) Coker

Donalene Hunsucker Reece Coker, 59, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday evening, September 16, 2021, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Born October 18, 1961, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Wayne and Pansie Elizabeth Bost Hunsucker. In addition to her parents, Donalene was preceded in death by her first husband, Grady Reece; a brother, Ricky Hunsucker and her step-father, Charles Clodfelter.

Bold in her faith, Donalene loved sharing her Jesus with others. Having never met a stranger, she treated others as though they were her own family. Donalene was a faithful, loyal member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church. A loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family, her church family and all who knew and loved her.

Family members include her husband of nearly 27 years, Waymond "Donald" Coker; her sons, Dustin Reece (Amanda), Nicholas Reece (Beth) and Zachary Reece (Shyanne); her brother, David Hunsucker; her much loved grandchildren, Connor, Macenzie, Ava, Olivia, Laila, Tucker, Dawson and Cason Reece; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 pm Monday, October 18, 2021, at The Brook Church, 2290 South US 29 Hwy, China Grove, NC 28023. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Donalene's life will begin at 12:00 pm in the church, conducted by Jon Harless, Pastor.  Burial will follow the service at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell.
