Dennis (Denny) Graybeal

Dennis Wayne “Denny” Graybeal, 74, of Kannapolis passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 26, 2021. He was born December 4, 1946 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Arley Denver Graybeal and Faye Griffin Graybeal.

Denny graduated from A.L. Brown High School, Class of 1965. He attended UNC-Chapel Hill and The University of Texas-Austin. Denny was in banking all his life working at the former Cabarrus Bank, First Union and eventually retiring from Wachovia Bank. He was a veteran of the Air National Guard. Denny was a member of Bethpage Presbyterian Church where he was former Elder, Sunday School teacher and Treasurer.  Denny was also a former board member of Hospice of Cabarrus County.  Denny loved all types of sports, especially racquetball and golf. Denny, most of all loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Bethpage Presbyterian Church officiated by his good friend Pastor David Franks. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends prior from 10:30 to 12:00 in the church fellowship hall.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia Cook Graybeal, son, Trent Graybeal and wife, Amber, and grandchildren, Torvi and Talon.
