Deborah Anne Akers

Deborah Anne Williams Akers, 60, of China Grove, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Born September 18, 1960 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Rachel Linker Williams.

Debbie enjoyed working in her flower beds, loved dogs and enjoyed taking care of people.

Debbie is survived by three children, Jennifer Gresham, James Gresham and girlfriend Josey and Michael Carroll and girlfriend Rainy Collins, all of China Grove; three grandchildren, Daisy, Elijah, and Justice; a brother, Timothy Williams; a sister, Lisa Williams; and former spouse Robert E. Carroll.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Akers.

A funeral service to honor Debbie’s life will be at 11:00 a.m. held Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Chapel, Kannapolis. Rev. Bobby Talent will officiate. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
