Debera Jean (King) Deal

Debera "Debbie" Jean Deal, 68, of China Grove, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Debbie was born June 30, 1954 in York County, SC. She was a cherished daughter of the late, Lester Thomas King and Della Hicks King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Steven Deal and 5 sisters.

Debbie spent her career as an office manager, retiring after 35 years at Gabriel Manufacturing. She loved crossword puzzles and reading novels. Debbie enjoyed watching musical movies, such as the Wizard of Oz, with her children, as they grew up. She had a passion for the outdoors and spending time at the mountains. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Jamey Deal and Billy Deal and his wife, Nikki Deal; grandchildren, Taylor, Kaylen, Brantley, and Ashley Deal; sister, Linda Bradley; along with numerous loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00- 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. A memorial service will immediately follow 2:00 pm in the chapel at Whitley's Funeral Home.
