David Wilson Longacre

David Wilson Longacre, 91 of Salisbury, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2021. Born in Reading PA on August 31, 1929.  David was the son of the late David F. Longacre and Clara Andrews Longacre.  Mr. Longacre received his undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College and his masters from  University of Pennsylvania. He worked as a registrar at Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in Glassboro, New Jersey. Mr. Longacre was a member of Kimball Lutheran Church in Kannapolis N.C. He and his wife Chloe spent the last few years living at Trinity Oaks in Salisbury, NC  

David is preceded in death by his son, David Andrew Longacre and his brother, Rev. Jacob A. Longacre. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Betty Chloe Longacre, Daughter, Karen DeFrank (Len) of Pitman N.J, daughter-in-law, Leslie Longacre of Clayton N.J., grandchildren Sara Truluck (Ashlee), Lenessa DeFrank, David Longacre, Jamie Longacre and Amanda Longacre, and great-grandson, Elliot Truluck.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Trinity Oaks in their chapel. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park at a later date.
