Crystal LeVone (Correll) Dease

Crystal LeVone Correll Dease, 61, peacefully passed away Wednesday morning, September 7, 2022, at her home, surrounded by love.

Born April 27, 1961, in Duval County, Fl, she was a daughter of the late Richard Eugene and Betty Frances Booth Correll. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Tommy Sullivan and Phil Hargraves; sister-in-law, Mary Truesdale, and a nephew, Mike Reddick.

Crystal was a 1979 graduate of South Rowan High School. She earlier had been employed with the Swink Plant of Fieldcrest Cannon Mills for 24 years, later working 23 years with Walmart. Crystal was a member of Highest Praise Family Worship Center. She enjoyed watching old westerns on TV.  Crystal loved all of her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved time spent with them. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and although in a much better place today, Crystal will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  

Family members left with many cherished memories include her husband of 43 years, Leroy Dease; her children, Kayla Steger (Justin), Rickey Dease (Telka) and Kelly Dease (Shasta); her sister, Trisha Patterson (Sam); her much loved grandchildren, Cain, Marshall, Dakotah (Josh), Sierrah, Rickey Jr., Braxtyn, Tarek and RosaLeigh; nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A memorial celebration service to remember and give thanks for Crystal’s life will begin at 4:00 pm Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Highest Praise Family Worship Center, 1700 Bostian Road, China Grove, conducted by Pastors Ricky Hudson and John Lucas.
