Cora Mae (Moore) Curlee

Cora Eldreth Curlee, 92, of Concord, passed away, Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at her home.

She was born March 13, 1929 in Wilkes Co. NC to the late Rev. James William Moore and Gertie Etta Greer Moore.

Cora worked many years at Cannon Mills in the weave room. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, and reading the bible. Cora was able to witness one of her health care workers get saved (Joanna Frye). She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by a husband Buster Eldreth and brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory, her Husband Harry Curlee of Rockwell; daughter, Sandra Morgan (Billy) of Concord; son, Tommy Eldreth (Terri) of Salisbury; four grandchildren Alan Galyan, Ericka Morgan, Mckinzie Barbee (Jake), Chris Crayton (Amber); eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Carter of Salisbury and Addie Marlow of Moravian Falls; and a brother, Rev. James Moore of Statesville.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Phaniel’s Baptist Church, with the Rev. Michael Taylor officiating, burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Friday, July 30, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
