Claudia Lee (Jones) Kinney

Claudia Lee Jones Kinney, 77, of Kannapolis went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 6, 2022.

Claudia was born on April 3, 1945 in Rowan County. She is the daughter of the late Joseph Bradley Jones and Liddie Bell Weatherman Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Tommy Reid Kinney; sister, Penny Linker; and brothers, Howard Jones, Larry Jones and Floyd Bradley Jones.

Claudia held several positions during her 45 years of service with Cannon Mills. She was an extremely hard worker and would do anything to help others. Claudia will always be remembered for her kind heart and gentle way with animals. She loved being outside and tending to her flowers. Claudia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Julie Kinney Miller (Jeff); granddaughter, McKenzie Miller Allen (Fenn); grandson, Grayson Ryder Miller (Abigail); and great-grandchildren, Miller Gray Allen and Merritt Reid Allen.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. A Graveside Service will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis at 12:00 pm with Fenn M. Allen officiating
