Christie Ann Rabalais Preston

As a Christian, we are born twice and die once. Christie was born in Louisiana on November 13, 1957, but her second birth came as a little girl when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. On January 19, surrounded by her husband of 42 years, Kelly Preston, son Nicholas Preston, and daughter Amanda Dodson, she went home to her heavenly father after succumbing to complications from Covid pneumonia at North East Medical.

Christie leaves behind a legacy of being kind, completely devoted to her kids and grandkids, and steadfast in her faith in God. Always a fervent prayer warrior for her family and her church family at Living Water Church of God, she radiated the light of Jesus through her actions. She never met a stranger and her exuberance for life drew people to her.

Our best friend and confidant is now our heavenly angel. She will be truly missed by her children and their spouses who she called her son and daughter, Sammy Dodson and Gina Preston. Even more so by her grandchildren Preston and Landon Dodson and Jase and Mason Preston who thought of her as their rock star. Her devoted husband and best friend since they were teenagers, will miss his other half. She also leaves behind her mom, Estelle Page of LA, her mother, Lucille Preston of OK, and her awesomely funny and faithful brothers, Timmy and Teddy Rabalais.

Due to Covid restrictions and precautions, we will only have immediate family for a graveside service.
