Charlie Raymond Campbell

Charlie Raymond Campbell, 82, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.

Charlie was born on July 26, 1938 in Rowan Co., a son of the late Charlie E. Campbell and Estelle Davis Campbell. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Ruby Louise Pope Campbell.

Charlie was a longtime member of Sharon Baptist Church. He loved playing cards at the VFW in Kannapolis, where he was a member. He enjoyed the outdoors taking walks, fishing, bird watching and working in his garden.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Ralph Campbell (Pam), his daughters, Tammy Campbell, and Elizabeth Campbell, his grandchildren, Emily Reeder (Kris), Priscilla Johnson (Dylan), Michael (Amber) Sullivan and Jason Sullivan, 13 great-grandchildren, his brothers, Kenneth Campbell, and Carl Campbell, and his sisters, Martha Carpenter, Faye Bowers, and Kathy Cable.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, February 12, 2021 at Sharon Baptist Church, with Rev. James Strickland officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
