Charles Mack Hicks

Charles (Chuck) Mack Hicks, 80, formerly of High Point, NC passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Chuck was born on September 3, 1941 in Mercer County, NJ. He was a cherished son of the late Warren Hicks and Vonia Johns Hicks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores Reisnier.

From 1964- 1969 Chuck was a Scout Executive for Boy Scouts of America. He spent his career as a CPA, specializing in Government Auditing and was a partner at Hughes Goodman formally known as Dixon and Odom. Chuck also taught Professional Education Accounting and was a member of NCACPA and AICPA. He was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in High Point. Chuck would serve as usher, taught Sunday school, and was on the finance committee. He was a western square dance caller in Folk, Round, and Square Dance Federation. He was an active member in the Kiwanis Club in High Point, NC. Chuck loved to travel with Chris to many different Time -Share destinations.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 59 years, Christine Mastin Hicks; son, Mark Hicks (Amy); grandchildren, Tori Newman (Nick), Chase Hicks (Kalli) and Caleb Hicks; brother, Fred Hicks (Terry); along with numerous loving nieces and nephews and great- nieces and great- nephews.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of High Point at 512 N Main Street - High Point, NC 27260 or to the donor's choice.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on September 24, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in High Point. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 pm.
