Audrey Joyce (Karriker) Smith

Audrey Karriker Smith, 92, of Mooresville, passed away Friday April 23, 2021 at Liberty Commons in Salisbury.
She was born July 14, 1928 in Rowan County to the Late Thebes Bernard Karriker and Blanche Deal Karriker.
Audrey worked in the textile industry most of her life. She was a faithful member of Concordia Lutheran Church and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Mitchell Smith, son, Duane Steven Smith, and a brother Thebes Bernard Karriker Jr..
Those left to cherish her memory, two sons, Kim Alyn Smith (Kathy) of China Grove, Mark Anthony Smith (Patrice) of Mooresville, a brother, Rev. Lonnie Karriker of Cornelius, a sister, Martha Karriker Baker of Davidson, five grandchildren: Brent (Jennifer) Smith, Jeremy (Tonya) Smith, Joshua (Tiffany) Smith, Charlotte (Jared) Taunton, Zach Smith, and six great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, April 26, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kenneth Reed officiating, the family will receive friends after the service.
