Arlene Bost Bailey

Our sister in Christ, Arlene Bost Bailey, 84 of Salisbury, NC, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Novant Health Rowan.

She was born April 17, 1938 in Rowan County to the late Shirley Lynn Bost, a carpenter/farmer, and Bessie Viola Kluttz Bost, a homemaker.

Arlene loved her church, her church family, and helping out in the church.  She loved angels and collecting angels.  She was a faithful follower of Jesus. She enjoyed traveling when she was able to; going to the mountains to pick apples or going to the outer banks for fishing and seashell hunting.  She loved going to the beach.  She loved to spend time with her family and loved ones.  She loved flowers and gardening.  She enjoyed cooking and sharing her secrets in the kitchen with those wanting to learn. She loved being around people and talking about Jesus with them.   She enjoyed the workers from Bayada of Salisbury who helped her out in the time of need.

Those left to cherish her memories are her beloved sons, Bobby Bailey and wife Renea of Salisbury, Samuel Bailey and wife of Salisbury, Grandchildren Tonya Taylor and husband Tod, Gina Bailey, Chad Bailey and wife Stacy, and Joshua Bailey.  Great grandchild, Travis Taylor.   Two brothers James Wayne Bost, Jerry Bost and his wife Pam.

Visitation will be Monday evening November 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 2PM Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Whitley’s Funeral Home with the Pastor Hazel Rollings officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marks Lutheran Church Cemetery.
