Annie Marie (Morgan) Nunn

Annie Marie Morgan Nunn, age 93 of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 31 2022 at her son’s residence.

Ann was born April 20, 1929 in Rowan County, NC a daughter of the late Gilbert and Lillian Stiller Morgan. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 38 years, Sam Akers Nunn, Jr. on September 30, 1987.

She was a lifelong member of Genesis Baptist Church and was active as long as her health permitted.

Ann was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, gardening and raising flowers. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan along with the A.L. Brown Wonders fan.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Gene Edwards. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove.

Family members left to cherish her memory include two sons; Sam Akers Nunn, III of Kannapolis and Dale Nunn and wife Julie of China Grove. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Kristen Nichole Nunn, Felicia Michelle Prevette (Eddie), Michael Dale Nunn (Jessica), Joshua Kevin Burr (Rheanna) and four great grandchildren; Sophia and Hudson, Xander and Logan.

She is also survived by three sisters; Grace Bolick, Alice Conklin and Ruth Gryder along with a sister-in-law, Edna Rose Morgan.

The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
