Obituary

Alan Craig Emerson, 59 years old, of Concord, passed away on June 19, 2022.  Alan was born on May 6, 1963 in Cabarrus County, NC to Katie Sue Overcash Emerson and the late Mason Adams Emerson.

Alan worked for Gold Express, previously Overcash Grading and Gravel for 30 + years.  He was a graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Alan was predeceased by his father, Mason Adams Emerson and his sister, Gail Emerson.  Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Brittany Tidwell Townsend and her husband Jacob; his son, William “Brandon” Tidwell; his mother, Katie Sue Overcash Emerson; his brothers, Steve, Gary, Harold, Tony, Bruce and Charles Emerson; his grandchildren, Emma and Jason Townsend, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place at Gilwood Presbyterian Church, 2993 Odell School Rd, Concord, NC on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11am.  The family will receive friends after the service.

The family is requesting that memorial contributions can be made in Alan’s memory to Gilwood Presbyterian Church.
