Wesley “Steve” Steven Beam, 74, of Enochville, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Steve was born in March 25, 1951, in Cabarrus County. He was a cherished son of the late Robert W. Beam and Allie Mae Ervin Beam.

Steve attended Kannapolis City Schools and graduated from South Rowan. He worked at Cannon Mills, where he was a hardworking employee until his retirement in 1984.

A man of strong faith, Steve enjoyed attending Methodist Churches and found daily comfort in reading his Bible.

He enjoyed a quiet life and found happiness in simple routines — watching television, reading the T.V Guide, and maintaining a cherished collection of baseball cards that brought him joy over the years. He also looked forward to the Sunday paper reading the comic section.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Vicky Beam Holt (David Holt); brother, Jeffery Scott Beam (Stanley Finch); his niece and caregiver, Susan Ward (Bradley); Nephew, Brian Holt; Steve was also blessed with many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00am. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial in China Grove.
