Wayne Stubbs

Wayne Stubbs, 85, of Kannapolis, passed away on August 17, 2025, at 8:30pm.

Wayne was born to C.W. and Lona Stubbs on November 13, 1939, in Cabarrus County. He attended Wingate University where he received an associate’s degree. Wayne married Carol Weaver on October 6, 1962, and they created a loving family. He worked as a computer operator for Cannon Mills for many years. He proudly served his country in the Army. He enjoyed gardening, painting and taking walks everyday he could. He was a gentle and kind man that will be dearly missed.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father C.W. Stubbs, mother Lona Stubbs, his beloved wife Carol Stubbs, and his daughter Tammy Stubbs.

Wayne is survived by his loving son Keith Stubbs, his sister Brenda Waller and family, and the Carol Weaver family.

Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Parkwood Baptist Church at 11am followed by the Funeral service at 12pm. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove.
