Vickie McDaniel Waldroup

Vicki G. McDaniel Waldroup, 75, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

Vickie was born on October 28, 1950 in Cabarrus County. She was a cherished daughter of the late Raymond McDaniel and Gertie Pethel McDaniel.

Vickie had a nickname, lovingly known as “Flower Child”. She had a special gift for growing anything and filled her home and garden with beautiful flowers and plants.

Animals were a big part of Vickies life, especially the dogs she raised and loved like family.

A generous spirit, Vickie believed no one should go hungry or feel alone. She was known for cooking big, comforting meals and sharing them with anyone in need. Vickie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Henry Foch Waldroup; daughters, Amanda Lomax (Daniel) and Brandi Morgan; grandchildren, Savanah Litaker (Landon), Hunter Lomax, Farrah Morgan, and Luke Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis. The funeral service will begin following the visitation at 2:00pm with Rev. Christopher O’Guin of Kerr Memorial Baptist Church Officiating. Burial Will be at Carolina Memorial Park.
