Tony Wayne Holder

Tony Wayne Holder, 72 of Concord passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Tucker Hospice House.

He was born November 3, 1952 in Cabarrus Co. to Betty Stirewalt Drye and the late Howard Lee Holder.

Tony worked in construction most of his life, working for SC Hondros and Joe Mann Builders, he was well liked and respected by his coworkers, Tony was a life long member of Kannapolis Church of God. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at the lake house, he enjoyed sports and rooted for the Carolina Panthers where he was a PSL holder and Notre Dame “Fighting Irish”, he was an avid Dodgers fan and love watching Duke basketball. He will be dearly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his sister Debbie Holder Marshall and his dad Bill Drye.

Those left to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years Cynthia Holder, his loving daughters Sandy Mclean (Mitch), Kendra Holder, grandchildren, Ryan Mclean, Joshua, and Jayda Hollis, Easton and Remington Helms, siblings; Darrell Holder, Billie Gail Wilson, and Robin Andrews.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Kannapolis Church of God, with Dr. Greg Sloop and Rev. Demps Overcash officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at the Church.
