Tommie T. Rhoten Jr.

Tommie T. Rhoten Jr., 78, of Landis passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at Tucker Hospice House.

He was born February 19, 1948 in Lincoln Co. to the late Tommie Thadis Rhoten Sr. and Idell LeCroy Rhoten.

Tommie and his wife Barbara owned three Restaurants from 1985-1995, He enjoyed working and building things, he built three homes throughout their 60-year marriage, and could fix anything, Tommie loved broccoli and ice cream and his boxer Roscoe, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He was preceded in death by two sons Robert and David Rhoten.

Those left to cherish his memory, his wife Barbara West Rhoten, son Tommie Rhoten III (Tamara), five grandchildren, Lauren Rackley, Rebecca Overcash (Spencer), Cody Rhoten, Tommie Rhoten IV, Dallas Rhoten, four Great grandchildren, Avalee Rackley, Nova Harrington, Memphis and Lily Overcash.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at Westlawn Memorial Park, with Pastor Roger Steadman officiating.

A visitation will be prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 am Tuesday, at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
