Terry Lane Morrison, "Rainmaker," passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 86, at Kiser Hospice House after a long battle with Parkinson's.
Born on May 26, 1939, in Rowan County, Terry was the son of the late John Brown Morrison and Beulah Clary Morrison. He dedicated many years to his career as a semi-truck driver, proudly working for Pilot and Yellow Freight Lines, and was a respected member of Local #71. Terry was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was known for his hardworking spirit.
Terry attended China Grove High School. Terry found joy in outdoor activities, often going camping and taking his beloved Border Collie, Taylor, on long walks. He had a passion for watching *Gunsmoke*, appreciated country music, and was a devoted fan of Dolly Parton. Above all, Terry was a loving husband, father, and brother who treasured his family deeply.
He was preceded in death by his four sisters and seven brothers. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Barbara Funderburke Morrison; his daughter, Gina Morrison (Terry); and two grand dogs, Molli and Fendi, who will all cherish his memory.
