Terri Lynn (Christy) Stancil, 70, of Kannapolis North Carolina, passed away at home, peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, surrounded by loving family and friends.
Born on August 29th, 1955, in Kannapolis, Terri had many passions and hobbies but some of her most valued were spending time with her friends, family and pets as well as traveling and being outside with a garden tool in her hand. Terri also enjoyed her time as a member of the Kannapolis Shriners.
Terri had successful careers in interior design and as a travel agent but she’s most notably known for her work with Operation Homeless Refuge of Hope Soup Kitchen. As co-founder, she led the charge to feed and care for those experiencing homelessness or food insecurity. Terri stopped at nothing to achieve her goals, but she did so with a compassionate heart that endeared her to friends, family and strangers alike. She had a powerful impact on the Kannapolis community that will last far into the future.
Terri was a loving mother and is survived by her son Brandon Stancil and brother Ricky Christy. She was preceded in death by her husband Grady Gulledge and sister Vicky Christy.
