Ted Eugene Clay, 76 years old, of Concord, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 20, 2023. Ted was born on December 20, 1946 in Cabarrus County to the late John and Thelma Bolton Clay.
Ted proudly served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam War. He is the owner and operator of Premium Power Systems in Concord. Ted loved his family, loved his work and his old car collection. Ted and his wife Carla attended Sharon Baptist Church in Concord where they were married 56 years ago.
Ted was predeceased by his sister, Mary Eudy. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Carla McGuire Clay; his daughters, Lori A. Clay and Angie C. Love and her husband Rodney; his brothers, John Clay and his wife Carolyn and Mike Clay and his wife Donna; his grandchildren, John Clay Maguire, Brittany Love, Madison Love, Morgan Love, Bryson Love, and Landon Love; his great grandchildren, Sarenity Love and Levi Love-Ryan, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Ted’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. James Strickland officiating. Family will receive friends after the memorial service in the fellowship hall.
