Tammie Leigh Segraves Rogers, 52, formerly of Kannapolis, peacefully passed away Monday evening, October 30, 2023, at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC, following a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Tammie was born May 28, 1971, in Concord, to the late John Charles Segraves and Patricia Clark Segraves.
A 1989 graduate of A.L. Brown High, she had been a member of Lane Street Church of God. Tammie loved her family dearly, especially her grandbabies, and cherished time spent with them. She loved trips to the beach, enjoyed being on the pickleball court and ball field, and was always a loyal supporter of her children’s sporting events. Gone too soon, Tammie will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
Loving family member include her children, Sam Picklesimer (Meg) and Amber Figueroa (D.J.); her sister, Kathie Segraves; her twin grandsons, Antonio “Ant Bug” and Castiel “Cass” Figueroa; niece, Tish “Sissy” Picklesimer; nephews, Chris Nobitt, and Ralph "Spanky" and Micheal "Spunky" Picklesimer.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 2nd from 1:00-2:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Tammie’s life will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Dr. Greg Sloop and Pastor Wade Easom. Tammie will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Park following the services.
The family would like to thank Gaston Hospice, and the oncology department at Atrium Health Cabarrus, for the care, concern and love given to Tammie and her family during her illness.
