Summer Nicole Caldwell, 24, of Kannapolis, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Summer was born December 4, 2001, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to Wendy Strickland Sartain and Johnnie Corell Caldwell.

She was also preceded in death by grandparents, Betsy Caldwell and Buster Sheila.

Survivors include mother, Wendy Strickland Sartain of Kannapolis, NC; father, Johnnie Caldwell of Kannapolis, NC; siblings, Jesse Sartain (Brittney), Jonathan Sartain, Tyrone Simms (Anita), and Johnnie Caldwell- all of Kannapolis, NC; and grandmother, Jeanette Hunsucker.

Summer loved her work as an in-home health aide and also enjoyed singing.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. – 12:45 P.M. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Chapel Street Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at Chapel Street Baptist Church in Landis officiated by Pastor Charles Snow. Burial will immediately follow at Brook Hill Memorial Gardens, 8625 US-52 N., Rockwell.
