Sherry Faye Bame, 72, of Kannapolis, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Atrium Health.
Sherry was a beloved wife, devoted mother, and loving friend to all who knew her.
Sherry owned and operated an in-home daycare for many years, where she provided love and care for many children. Sherry loved having friends and family in her home to entertain, where her home was always welcoming. Sherry took pride in her rose gardens and loved to make bouquets with them. Sherry’s Famous Fudge will be missed by so many at Christmas. She loved to travel and has seen a lot, but her favorite was always the beach. Sherry’s most favorite thing in life was being a mother!
Shery was born in Iredell County to the late Melvin and Barbara Hardin. Sherry was preceded in death by her sister, Melva Hardin Crowe.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Bame; two daughters, Missy Crayton of Kannapolis and Mandy Crayton Westray (Shawn) of Kannapolis; her stepson, Andy Bame (Megan) of Salisbury and four step grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Whitley’s Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC 28083. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Whitley’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
