Obituary: Shawn Alexander Spry, 21, of Salisbury died July 31, 2017. He was born March 18, 1996 in Cabarrus County, a son of Tomasa Garcia Furr and the late Kelly Sean Spry. Shawn was a graduate of South Rowan High School where he had played basketball. He was employed with Custom Glass Products. Shawn and his girlfiend, Hayley Head were raising her 13 year old brother, Gabriel Head. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 4, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis officiated by Rev. Ken McCrae. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior at Whitley's. Shawn is survived by his girlfriend, Hayley Head, mother, Tomasa Furr (Roger McSwain), brothers, Nestor Sanchez, Timothy Furr (Christy), Joshua Furr (Brittany), half sister, Nicole Spry, nieces and nephews, Aiden, Diana, Aubrey, Max and grandmother, Ramona Corona.
