After many years of declining health, Sandra Ravanelle Williams, known as Ravanelle, passed away on February 22, 2026.

Born on July 27, 1938, Ravanelle was a Kannapolis native where she worked & lived her entire life. She handled billing for Concord Warehousing the majority of her work life until retirement in 2000. Ravanelle was happily married for 69 years to her high school sweetheart & love of her life, Bill Williams.

As a former beauty queen (Miss Winecoff High School, 1956), she was known by family & friends for her quick, sarcastic wit & dark sense of humor. Her passions were reading, writing, & baking. She was known for her cakes & pies at the weekly church hot dog sales. She is also remembered for her love for children & animals.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Barney & Lois Melton, & her son, Darren Scott Williams.

She is survived by her husband, Billy (Bill) Albert Williams, her daughter Kim Williams & her boyfriend Doug Healey (CT), her son Derek Williams & his wife Chris (Concord) her “other” daughter, Debbie Pennell Toney (York, SC), and her 2 grandchildren, Megan Williams (Charlotte) & Ben Toney (Tega Cay, SC).

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Concord. A memorial service will follow immediately at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Cindy Nanney officiating.
